Uses of Levitra:
Levitra is the brand-name for Vardenafil from Bayer. It is a new tablet-based oral
treatment for erectile dysfunction, recently licensed for prescription.
This medication has proved successful in clinical trials and is
an alternative to Viagra and Uprima. Bayer recommends that you take
Levitra 26-60 minutes before sexual activity. This drug achieves
its effect in as little as 25 minutes or up to 4-5 hours after ingestion.
How does Levitra work?
Levitra increases blood flow to the penis. When sexually stimulated
the arteries in the penis relax and enlarge. As these arteries expand
the veins taking blood away from the penis are compressed restricting
the blood flow out of the penis, thus causing an erection. It is
if the nerves and blood vessels that facilitate this process are
not working sufficiently that erectile dysfunction occurs.
Levitra Dosage:
There are three potential dosages of Levitra: 20mg, 10mg and 5mg.
This dosage may have to be adjusted by your physician should the
desired effect not be achieved. This medication should be taken
once a day, with or without meals, as required.
Caution:
Do not use this medication more than once a day. Men who take too
much Levitra may experience more side effects or may get severe
back pain. If you take more of this drug than you should, tell your
doctor.
Possible Side Effects:
Taking Levitra can cause side effects, although not everybody gets
them. Most of the effects are mild or moderate.
Storage:
Do not use after the expire date stated on the packaging. Keep levitra
and all medications out of the reach of children.
